The Labour movement in the mining sector is impressed with sound Safety measures that management at the China Non-Ferrous Metals Africa Mining-NFCA is implementing at the newly commissioned 8-hundred and 70 Million Dollar South East Ore Body.
Both the Mine Workers Union of Zambia -MUZ- and National Union of Miners and Allied Workers -NUMAW- have urged management at NFCA NOT to relax on their good record on safety.

And NUMAW President James Chansa says other mining firms should take a leaf from NFCA by ensuring adequate safety measures are implemented in their operations.
On Wednesday, President Edgar Lungu expressed satisfaction that NFCA has continued to implement best safety practices in its operations.
The President said his Government takes great exception to unsafe mining practices and urged all mining companies to emulate NFCA in adhering to good safety practices.
