The Ministry of Labour and Social Security (MLSS) draws its statutory mandate from the
Government Gazette Notice No. 1123 of 2021. The Ministry is charged with the responsibility
of formulating and administering policies as well as regulating activities in the labour and
employment sector in order to enhance the sectors’ contribution to sustainable social and
economic development for the benefit of the people of Zambia.
