The Ministry of Labour and Social Security (MLSS) has issued a press release to notify the public about a fake advert circulating on social media platforms.
The advert claims that a “Ministry of Labour and Employment” is offering ZMW 5,000 to workers who were employed between 1990 and 2024.
The Ministry clarifies that such an offer does not exist and that the purported named ministry does not exist in the Republic of Zambia.
The public is warned not to be lured by such messages or click on any suspicious links in the advert. The matter has been reported to the Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority (ZICTA) for intervention.
