The Minister of Labour and Social Security, Hon. Brenda M. Tambatamba, has issued a press statement on the stakeholders consultative meeting on the Employment Code Act, No. 3 of 2019 (ECA) review with the following highlighted points:
*The Ministry of Labour and Social Security conducted a meeting to review the Employment Code Act and proposed amendments.
*Following feedback from workers and employers, a road map for further deliberations was agreed upon, and the draft amendments will be submitted to the Tripartite Consultative Labour Council for resolution.
*The Ministry will continue to engage stakeholders to ensure impartial, inclusive, and beneficial amendments. New consultation dates will be communicated to stakeholders.
