MINISTER TAMBATAMBA OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCES THE NATIONAL SKILLS, PRODUCTIVITY AND JOBS SUMMIT

The Minister of Labour and Social Security, Hon. Brenda Mwika Tambatamba, announced the National Skills, Productivity, and Jobs Summit taking place from 3rd to 4th December 2024 at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre, Lusaka.
The theme of the Summit is “Bridging the Skills, Employment, and Productivity Gap.”
Key objectives of the Summit:
Addressing unemployment, skills mismatches, and productivity challenges in Zambia.
Connecting job seekers with employers and promoting work-based learning such as internships and apprenticeships.
Fostering policy dialogue and strategies to enhance productivity and inclusive employment practices.
Participants and stakeholders:
Government officials, industry leaders, training institutions, international organizations, recruitment agencies, and students.
Activities during the Summit:
Keynote speech from the Republican President, Dr. Hakainda Hichilema.
Presentations from industry experts.
Exhibitions showcasing job opportunities, innovations, and skills programs.
Panel discussions on labour policies, skills development, and productivity strategies.
Networking sessions to foster collaboration between stakeholders.
